Every company should have that special team that sits around in a room and throws a tennis-ball back and forth, talking about everything and nothing. The team that goes to the stores, talks with customers and have coffees all the time, without any given agenda. The team that has a direct path to the CEO, and that responds to no-one. This is the only way for large companies to attempt to be creative. The reason for this is that management does NOT have the TIME to be creative. They are too busy worrying about the numbers for the next board meeting with shareholders. Their teams also do NOT have the TIME to be creative. They are often too busy preparing the presentations for the management team’s board meeting.
I read a very interesting article on How to Be Creative from one of my favourite bloggers, Tara Hunt. Definitely worth to take a look at.
